He had started his career after winning the "Bintang RTM" on 11 August 1976. Besides, he is the title holder of "Asia's No. 1 Performer" on 19 March 1989 as he won the ‘‘Asian Popular Music Awards’’ competition in Royal Albert Hall in London.[1]He was known as the "Singing Lawyer", the "People's Singer", the "Patriot Singer" and the "Elvis Presley of Malaysia". He was also a composer, lawyer, writer (memoir and children books), cartoonist, entrepreneur and actor.

Music

Possessing of a clear piercing tenor with a surprising breadth of range and dynamic control especially at the extreme high end, Sudirman's voice was instantly recognizable every time one of his songs are played in local radio or television. His ability to act through his voice is evident from songs such as "Bercanda di Pasiran Pantai", a Latin-flavored duet with Anita Sarawak which displayed the sultry quality of his voice. His unique talents had helped him to win many local competitions from Bintang RTM Best Singer (1976) to Muzik-Muzik TV3 Best Performer and Berita Harian Popularity contest Most Popular Artist. He topped Malaysian, Brunei and Indonesia charts with songs such as "Merisik Khabar", "Milik Siapakah Gadis Ini" and "Salam Terakhir".Songwriters who have supported him in the past include S. Atan, Manan Ngah, Michael Veerapan and Syed Harun. Even today, his songs are popularly played especially during National Day and Eid-ul-Fitr.

Sudirman was also the first Malaysian singer to perform at The Paddock at the Hilton of Kuala Lumpur in 1983 and was the singing ambassador for companies such as Proton,Malaysia Airlines, Honda Cup and honored pioneer card member with Hong Leong Bank. He was known for his versatility and sang Malay, Indian and Chinese songs with outstanding choreography. He was even known for sketching the portrait of his fan while singing.

Local musicians who have played for him include Alex Boon, Jay Jay (singer guitarist), Hillary, Ricky, Fauzi Marzuki, Michael Veerapan, Mac Chiew and Jenny Chin. Local women who have performed with him as his dancers  supermodel Samantha Schubert and Linda Jasmine Hashim (now one of the leading dancing choreographer cum teacher in Malaysia's reality TV program show Akademi Fantasia).

Some Muslim fundamentalists and leftists detested his concert performances. Some even threatened and distributed warning pamphlets of "something would happen" during hisUniversiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Bangi concert to deter people from attending. The concert was postponed following protests from the UKM students union body, its academic staff association and the dean of the Islamic Studies faculty and six other student bodies. This incident was captured by Zainuddin Maidin (then journalist, now former Minister of Information) in his book "The Other Side of Mahathir". He narrated that the then-Prime Minister had called a few ministers to his residence to review the situation as the issue reflected Malaysia's position in terms of modernization. The meeting led to the conclusion that the show had to be allowed to go on. Sudirman's fans turned up in force. He went about pleasing the crowd, crooning his hits. One campus resident said, "At last something alive has come here." The negativity surrounding the UKM incident was not long-lasting. The irony of it is that, a couple of years after Sudirman's death in 1992, UKM held a Sudirman karaoke competition.

Sudirman produced an album for his favourite nephew, Razman Azrai, under Sudirman Productions. Also known as Atai, he had a couple of hit songs that topped the charts in 1985.

In April 1983, Sudirman sang a song for the late Puan Sri Saloma titled "Mama". When Sudirman approached her shortly before her death, Saloma expressed her disbelief with tears — that someone like Sudirman would still remember and make a song solely for her.

On 14 April 1986, Sudirman held an open air concert on Chow Kit Road, which was the first time ever that a street concert drew a 100,000-strong crowd on a Monday night. It jammed the stretch of Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Raja Muda to Jalan Raja Alang. Several fans fainted in the crowd, a few suffocated and were rushed to the hospital. A Malaysian English tabloid, The Star, wrote that "Kuala Lumpur came to a standstill and it had nothing to do with the recession, but with one man, Malaysia's top entertainer, an electrifying performance and most memorable night".

Sudirman's songs topped the charts with every new album that he released. There was a time when his song "Merisik Khabar" climbed up to the #1 position for two months while his second song "Milik Siapa Gadis Ini" from the same album came in second and stayed at the top for a few weeks after "Merisik Khabar".

In 1989, Sudirman won the title "Best Performer" at the Asia Music Award 1989 contest at the Royal Albert Hall, London. There, Leslie Cheung (Hong Kong Cantopop founding father), Anita Sarawak (Singapore's Best), Epo (Japan singer song writer), Kuh Ledesma (Philippines pop diva) and many other singers represented their respective countries.^[5]

As Sudirman was known by many as "Malaysia's No 1 Entertainer", he was chosen to perform for Malaysia's SEA Games closing ceremony in 1989 and many others such as the opening ceremony of Sepak Takraw competition, Merdeka, New Year and other national functions. In most cases, he would use his own money to ensure a successful concert.

Sudirman Arshad also had a strong fanbase in Singapore. His concert there resulted in a large turnout at the Kallang National Stadium in August 1987. People came from all classes, races and ages. Kelvin Tan Look Siew, Director of Singapore Armed Forces Music & Drama company, said, "We wanted to bring down a prominent artist from the region and Sudirman's name automatically cropped up."

EMI London took him on to work together with Stock, Aitken & Waterman (British producer trio who took on Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Rick Astley) for the world market with a song titled "Love will Find a Way". Vic Lanza, manager of WHAM (duet of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley) pronounced Sudirman as the institution of Malaysian Music industry. He was brought to The Beatles famous Abbey Road Studios and recorded the album, but died soon afterwards.

The Proton Satria is a hatchback produced by Malaysian Proton in 1995 for the first generation and ended in 2005. The new Satria Replacement Model (SRM), known as Proton Satria Neo was launched on 16 June 2006.
The name Satria which means knight in Sanskrit was chosen for Proton's 3-door hatchback to reflect the sportiness of the car.

The first generation Satria (marketed as the 300 Series in various European markets) was a 3-door hatchback based on the 1991 Mitsubishi Mirage (Colt outside the Japanese market). Changes were limited to front-end styling and an interior from the bigger Wira. Power-plant options included the 4G13p 1.3-litre 12-valve, 4G15p 1.5-litre 12-valve and 4G92p 1.6-litre 16-valve SOHC engine. The 1.5 and 1.6-litre 16v versions were also available with optional 3-speed and 4-speed automatic transmissions, respectively.
Trim levels were LSi, GLi, GLSi and SEi. The base-specification LSi had the 1.3-litre 12-valve engine only: GLi versions got the 1.5-litre 12-valve engine in addition to the 1.3-litre: whilst GLSi and SEi versions got the 1.6 16v engine as well as the 1.5 12v.
A later facelift version featured a different rear to the original Mirage. These were launched in 1996 in Malaysia and later in other countries, and new XLi, S XLi and GTi trim levels were available. New 1.3 12v, 1.5 12v and 1.6 16v petrol engines were available.

Satria GTi

The Proton Satria GTi was launched in 1998 with a 138 bhp (103 kW) 1.8-litre Mitsubishi-sourced 4G93p engine, originally found in the Mitsubishi Lancer GSR, but without the turbo and with an increase in compression to compensate for the power loss. The Satria GTi was developed and re-engineered as a traditional hot hatch by Lotus in Hethel, England. The Satria GTi could sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 7.8 seconds, making it among the fastest Proton production models ever produced.A new body kit was also adopted for better aerodynamics. The Satria GTi also wore a 'Handling by Lotus' badge on the rear hatch.
The engine and handling of the Satria GTi were progressively updated and revised between 1998 and 2005. The Mitsubishi version was produced from 1998 until mid-2002. The VDO (Siemens) version had been in production from mid-2002 until 2005 when Proton ceased production.
The Proton Satria GTi launched in the United Kingdom in November 1999 with a £14,500 price tag. It was equipped with air-conditioning, ABS, dual front power windows, electric mirrors and Recaro seats.^[1] Proton sold 160 units of the Satria GTi within its first six months in the U.K
Richard Hammond had reviewed the Proton Satria GTi alongside the more established Peugeot 206 GTi. The Satria GTi received more praise and approval as a traditional hot hatch, despite costing £500 more than the 206 GTi.

The Proton Satria R3 is a limited edition Satria sold in Malaysia.^[4] The term R3 stands for Race, Rally, Research. R3 is a redefined version of Satria Gti by Proton's Racing development team and also Lotus. It houses the same 1800 cc Mitsubishi 4G93p engine but has undergone some minor adjustments by Lotus handling. The body shell has been improved with double stitch welded monocoque chassis with front and rear strut tower brace bars. Body weight has been lighten as well. It comes with Recaro SR4 semi-bucket seats, both Momo steering wheel and gear knob.

Mall berpuaka! Itulah gelaran diberi kepada kompleks beli-belah terbengkalai Kemayan City di Tampoi apabila beberapa keluarga rakyat Singapura terjebak membeli-belah di situ sebelum pulang ke negara asal mereka dengan membawa daun kering atau barangan dibeli lenyap begitu saja.

Cerita pelik dan menyeramkan berkaitan aktiviti paranormal di kompleks Kemayan City bukan lagi asing di kalangan masyarakat bandaraya ini, malah misteri alam ghaib di pusat beli-belah terbengkalai lebih 10 tahun lalu itu menjadi buah mulut penduduk Singapura.

Bagaikan badi kepada warga Singapura, cerita menggerunkan di Kemayan City dikatakan popular kalangan warga republik berkenaan yang mendakwa mengalami peristiwa dianggap susah diterima akal seperti berbelanja dan makan di pusat beli-belah yang sebenarnya tidak pernah beroperasi selepas projek itu terhenti pada 1998.

Kejadian menyeramkan di pusat membeli-belah berkenaan pernah dialami sekeluarga dari Woodland, Singapura.

Semuanya bermula apabila keluarga terbabit dikatakan mengunjungi pusat beli-belah terbengkalai terletak di tepi Jalan Johor Bahru-Air Hitam itu ketika mereka dalam perjalanan pulang menghadiri majlis kenduri kahwin saudara di Melaka.

Sebaik tiba di Kilometer 13 Jalan Johor Bahru-Air Hitam menghala pusat bandaraya kira-kira jam 9 malam, keluarga terbabit tertarik ke arah bangunan di sebelah kiri jalan berkenaan yang bergemerlapan dengan lampu aneka warna dan meriah dengan kunjungan orang ramai.

Tarikan itu menyebabkan keluarga terbabit membuat keputusan singgah dan mendapati kemeriahan itu adalah majlis pembukaan pusat beli-belah yang diadakan secara besar-besaran.

Menyangkakan Kemayan City dipulih dan memulakan operasinya, keluarga berkenaan tidak melepaskan peluang singgah memandangkan malam masih awal.

Selepas berada lebih setengah jam di situ, keluarga berkenaan beredar kerana mempunyai satu lagi destinasi yang perlu singgah sebelum balik ke Singapura.

Mereka menuju rumah saudara di Kampung Pasir yang terletak tidak jauh dari pusat beli-belah berkenaan.

Ketika berada di rumah saudara, seorang ahli keluarga terbabit bercerita mengenai kehebatan majlis pembukaan Kemayan City ketika singgah di situ.

Sungguh mengejutkan apabila keluarga malang itu mendapat berita daripada saudara mereka bahawa bangunan yang didakwa beroperasi sebenarnya masih terbengkalai sehingga kini, bahkan semakin usang.

Kesemua barangan yang dibeli termasuk pakaian didapati hilang sebaik mereka tiba di rumah dan keadaan itu menimbulkan gangguan emosi kepada keluarga berkenaan selepas melalui detik menyeramkan, pelik dan aneh di Kemayan City.

McDonald's primarily sells hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken, french fries, breakfast items, soft drinks, milkshakes, and desserts. In response to changing consumer tastes, the company has expanded its menu to include salads, fish, wraps, smoothies, and fruit.

       The business began in 1940, with a restaurant opened by brothers Richard and Maurice McDonald at 1398 North E Street at West 14th Street in San Bernardino, California (at 34.1255°N 117.2946°W). Their introduction of the "Speedee Service System" in 1948 furthered the principles of the modern fast-food restaurant that the White Castle hamburger chain had already put into practice more than two decades earlier.           Gua Musang is a town and territory (jajahan) in Kelantan, Malaysia. It is the largest district in Kelantan. Gua Musang is administered by the Gua Musang District Council. Gua Musang district is bordered by the state of Pahang to the south, Terengganu to the east, Perak to the west and the Kelantanese districts of Kuala Krai and Jeli to the north.              Taman Negara (National Park), which is at Sg Relau near Merapoh in Pahang. The small village of Merapoh is just south of Gua Musang and serves as a popular starting point for those who want to scale Gunung Tahan. The untouched tropical rainforest in Taman Negara is among the oldest in the world. It is well known for its biodiversity and is home to many endangered species of animals and plants.

How to get to Sogo

Sogo is located along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman (and Jalan Raja Laut). You can travel by metro (LRT/Light Rail Transit) to Bandaraya LRT station. Sogo is linked to the subway station by sky bridge to the 1st floor. Another way to get here is by monorail (this line also goes through Kuala Lumpur city center). If you get out at Monorail station Medan Tuanku it is only a 5 minute walk to Sogo (just walk towards the main section where you see the Tune Hotel , then to the left past Maju Junction towards Pertama Complex. From there you will see Sogo at the next section. Opening hours: Daily opening hours are between 10am and 9.30pm.

Kuala Lumpur City Centre is a multipurpose development area in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The area is located around Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Binjai, Jalan Kia Peng and Jalan Pinang. There are a number of shopping complexes such as Suria KLCC and Avenue K. There are also hotels within walking distance such as G Tower, Mandarin Oriental, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur and InterContinental Kuala Lumpur hotel.
Designed to be a city within a city, the 100-acre site hosts the tallest twin buildings in the world, shopping mall, hotels, office buildings and several hotels. A public park and a mosque is also built on the area and open to everyone. The whole project is cooled via district cooling located on the property.

Petronas Twin Towers

Built on 1 January 1992 until 31 December 1994, the Petronas Twin Towers was the tallest building in the world from 1 January 1998 to 31 December 2004. Currently, it still holds the record for the tallest twin buildings in the world. It is the headquarters of Petronas, a Fortune 100 state owned oil company and also the largest company in South East Asia.
The towers and the mall below it was designed by Argentinian born architect César Pelli. Construction started in 1991 and completed 7 years after, in midst of Asian Financial Crisis and Reformasi movement. Due to the soil conditions on the tower, the buildings were built on one of the deepest foundations in the world.
The 88-storey towers were built using mostly reinforced concrete, with steel-and-glass facade to resemble Islamic motifs, a religion followed by the majority of Malaysia. The cross section of the tower resembles Rub el Hizb, further solidifies the Islamic motif in the tower design.

Menara Exxon Mobil

Menara Exxon Mobil was built on 1 January 1997 and it is the headquarters of the Malaysian subsidiary of Exxon Mobil, one of the largest listed company in the world.
The 126 m (413 ft), 30-storey tower is a rectangular shaped building, with a virtually column free interior. For aesthetics, the north and south elevations are set-back at level 5, while the north elevation facing the public park is further set-back at levels 22 and 26

The tower is also designed by César Pelli with construction started in 2006 and finished in 2012. The tower has a separate entrance facing Mandarin Oriental and also a tunnel link towards Lot D1. Lot D1 will be a future development by the owner, KLCC Properties.
The cross section of the tower features two geometric shapes, a square and a rectangle. The rectangle shape in the building starts at the ground floor up to the 40th floor. The triangle shape extends to the top of the tower. At the top of the tower, a crown completes the design. It is expected the crown will hold the tower's company logo.

Menara Maxis

Menara Maxis is the headquarters of Maxis Communications, one of Malaysia's largest telecommunication companies.

Suria KLCC

Suria KLCC is currently the only and main commercial center in the KLCC area. The shopping mall occupies space underneath the Petronas Twin Towers and shares its parking lot with it. The six-story shopping mall has been extended to Menara Carigali since 2011. There are plans to extend the mall to Lot K and also Lot D1 as well.
The mall is accessible by KLCC LRT station. It also serve as one of the bus hubs for Bandar Buses of RapidKL. The mall also has a tunnel link to Kuala Lumpur Convention Center which in turn connects to Bukit Bintang shopping district.

Kuala Lumpur Convention Center

The KLCC area has a 1,300,000-square-foot (120,000 m²) convention center known as the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. The total function area is around 216,000 square feet (20,100 m²). The convention center is directly connected with Traders Hotel. Impiana Hotel, in which own and operated by KLCC Properties, developer of the KLCC area, is connected via a walk bridge. In the master plan, there will be several more buildings to be built near or on convention center area.

Binjai on the Park

Binjai on the Park is the only residential area in the project. The residential space is two 42-story buildings having an unobstructed view of the Petronas Twin Towers. It is designed by Allen Jack + Cottier (known famously as AJ+C), the Australian-based architect with regional presence in Malaysia, Vietnam and China. The residential towers is the most expensive in Malaysia with a 19,500 square feet penthouse has been sold for a record RM50 million.

Public area

At the center of the property lies KLCC Park. The park is one of the last designs of notable Brazilian park designer Roberto Burle Marx. The park holds a jogging track, a public swimming pool, several children's playground and a man made lake complete with water fountains.
The are also has a mosque known as As Syakirin Monque which has the capacity to hold 12,000 people. Naturally, many religious activities such as Friday prayers is conducted here.

Public transport

Public transport is abundant in the area as it is being served by Kelana Jaya Line through KLCC LRT station. It is also a bus hub for RapidKL bus network, the largest public transport operator in Kuala Lumpur.
A dedicated taxi stand, which utilized the coupon system, is available at the shopping mall entrance. Patrons who do not wish to use the system has the option to walk up to taxi stand which is situated on the main road.

Road network

Although the area is bordered by 5 main roads, main road access is through Jalan Ampang, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Ampang - Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway. AKLEH access is quite unique in the sense that the highway has direct tunnel access to the area's underground parking garage will the other road access has drop off point as well as parking garage access.
KLCC also has built an underground tunnel to connect the area to Jalan Ampang directly.

Other access

The developer has spent RM30 million to build an elevated, air-conditioned walkway from the KLCC to Bukit Bintang.

The Chronology of Menara Kuala Lumpur Construction:
1st Phase, 4th October 1991

• Widening of Jalan Punchak and excavations of soil from construction site.
• Finished: 15th August 1992

2nd Phase, 6th July 1992

• Construction of the foundation and basement of tower
• 50,000 cubic metres of concrete were endless poured for 31 hours hence setting a record in the Malaysian construction industry.
• Finished: 15th April 1993 (without pilling)

3rd Phase/ 'superstructure', began in May 1994

• The dreary construction of the tower starts with erection of the tower shaft, then the tower head.
• As the ultimate touches to the tower head were being done, the construction of the tourist building began.
• Introduce Islamic motif to reflect Malaysia's Islamic Heritage, and blended eastern design with western architectural technology
• Main Lobby � decorated with lovely glass-clad domes that glint like huge diamond.
• These domes were designed and arranged in the form of the 'Muqarnas' by Iranian craftsmen from Esfahan

Final Touch, 13th September 1994

• Topping up Ceremony where the Antenna Mast was installed by YAB Dato' Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad
